About Mangiamo

Italian for "Let's eat."

That's the whole idea, really. Not "let's scroll," not "let's compare star ratings," not "let's see what a stranger on the internet thought about the calamari." Just — let's eat, together, somewhere good, because someone you trust told you it was good.

Mangiamo (pronounced "mahn-JAH-moh") is a private, peer-curated dining guide built around that one simple instinct. It keeps your circle small and your signal high.

Friends dining together in the city

What we're built on

High-trust social circles

Your Mangiamo world is made up of people you actually trust. Every connection is mutual and invite-only. No public profiles, no follower counts, no strangers weighing in. The opinions you see come from a handful of people whose taste you respect — not a crowd of anonymous reviewers with nothing on the line.

Contextual curation

A great lunch spot for a Tuesday meeting isn't a great pick for a Saturday celebration. Mangiamo lets you tag, sort, and annotate every place with the context that actually matters — cuisine, neighborhood, occasion, your own private notes — so your guide stays useful no matter the moment.

Built by you, not a database

Mangiamo doesn't have a team scraping listings or buying data feeds. It has you, and the people you trust.

You add a place the moment you hear about it — a name dropped over dinner, a spot a friend swears by, somewhere you passed and made a mental note to come back to. That's it. No waiting for it to show up in someone else's database. If it matters enough to remember, it's worth thirty seconds to add.

Your friends do the same. Which means your guide isn't a static list someone compiled once — it's built the way real recommendations actually happen, one place at a time, by people who were actually there.

Separation of intent

"I want to try this" and "I loved this" are two different statements. Mangiamo keeps them separate. Your To-Visit list holds possibilities. Your visited history holds proof. And when a friend sends a recommendation, you'll always know whether it's a wish or a verdict.

Getting the table

Mangiamo can't get you a seat at the restaurant everyone's talking about. No bot, no back door, no magic reservation trick. Some tables are just hard to get, and that's not something an app should pretend to fix.

What it can do is save you the scramble. Every listing keeps track of which platform a restaurant actually uses — Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, or a straight-up phone call — so you're not guessing, refreshing five different apps, or finding out too late you were looking in the wrong place.

Shared dining schedules

Good food is better with company. Mangiamo helps you track upcoming reservations, coordinate with the people in your circle, and look back on where you've eaten together. It's the connective tissue between the places you love and the people you love eating with.

Our privacy commitment

We won't sell your data. We won't use your individual activity to build a profile of you. Your lists, notes, and social graph belong to you — not to us, and not to anyone who'd pay to see them.

We store what we need to make the product work. Nothing more. If you close your account, everything goes with you.

So — where are we eating tonight?

Mangiamo.
